Your trust matters to us. We collect only what we need to bring you each morning’s devotional, and we never sell your information.

01Who we are

First Light Daily Devotion (“we,” “us,” or “our”) offers free devotional content, including the 7 Mornings in His Presence 7-day devotional. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or sign up, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

When you sign up for the free devotional, we collect:

  • Your first name
  • Your email address
  • Your mobile phone number, if you provide it
  • Your text message preferences (whether you checked either consent box)

If you email or message us, we also keep what you send and our reply.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect basic technical information, such as your browser and device type, the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit, the referring page, and a session identifier stored in a cookie.

03How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Deliver the free devotional and the daily emails you signed up for
  • Send text messages, but only the types you consented to (see Text messaging below)
  • Let you know about new devotionals, resources, and offers from First Light Daily Devotion
  • Respond to your questions and requests
  • Understand how our website is used so we can improve it
  • Keep our website secure and meet our legal obligations

04Text messaging (SMS)

Giving your mobile number is not required to receive the devotional. We only send text messages if you check one or both consent boxes on our signup form:

  • Non-marketing messages — updates and service notifications about your devotional.
  • Marketing messages — special offers, discounts, new product updates, and similar promotional messages.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Text HELP for assistance, or reply STOP at any time to opt out. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all information sharing described in this policy, except with the service providers who help us send our messages.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it in these limited cases:

  • Service providers who help us run our website and send our emails and text messages (for example, our customer relationship management, email, and messaging platforms). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal reasons — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of First Light Daily Devotion, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers — if our ministry or business is merged, acquired, or reorganized, subject to this policy’s protections.

  • Email: click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email we send.
  • Text messages: reply STOP to any message.
  • Access, correction, or deletion: email us at admin@firstlightdailydevotion.com and we will respond within a reasonable time, as required by law.

We keep your information for as long as you remain subscribed, and afterward only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or as required by law. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

09Children’s privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10Your state privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado, Virginia, and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its correction or deletion, and to opt out of certain uses.
